Dr. Kurdistani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Chemistry and is interested in how to understand the dynamics, establishment and maintenance mechanisms of histone modifications on a global scale in order to create a predictive model of chromatin biology and better understand prostate cancer and, importantly, whether these changes are predictive of clinical outcome as assessed by the risk of tumor recurrence after removal of the primary tumor.
